So much has happened here at Contented (and the world of AI). But for now we want to wish you a wonderful holiday break and give you some quick updates from us - Hannah and Lucy.

🎄Ending the year
We are ending the year on such a high- and are so grateful to work with such an amazing group of customers. For some we have saved them precious time, others they have been able to have more impact, and others have started working on parts of their business that they have never had time for. Above all the tools have focused on the human, with AI being the icing on the cake and not the whole recipe.
We continue to see new AI tools being launched weekly, GPTs are the talk of LinkedIn, Google shared their new model Gemini and Microsoft is rolling out Co-Pilot for 365. With every new release the more our mission becomes clearer.
We love it when our clients have used other AI tools as it means they can share their experiences- good and bad.
Our advice? Try different tools if you have the time- work out what you like and don’t like. ChatGPT is a good place to start and we recommend the paid version if you can afford it as it has additional features.
📈 What trends are we seeing?
Smaller teams are in many cases preferring more simple, user friendly AI tools (for specific workflows not just all encompassing chatbots). There isn’t the same appetite for Chat bots and AI Assistants that Enterprise organisations have (with weird human names).
The best use case for AI is when an organisations have a need for high quality content. This might be because of the impact they want to have (eg not for profit organisations), the members or customers they serve, or they need high quality content due to internal drivers.
Where customers have struggled is when they don’t have best practice or what “good” looks like, and where they don’t have a plan for the rollout of the newly created content. This is where content ends up being generated “for contents sake” rather than as part of a workflow or strategy. This is what can often happen with ChatGPT use. Lots of words or data, low quality and nowhere to put it.
💡When we refer to “content” we mean any text based, data based or multimedia based outputs. Think anything from meeting summaries through to complex reports, training resources through to data analysis. It doesn’t just mean marketing content.

Our amazing team
We are still a lean team and utilise a team of contractors when we need to but at the end of November we welcomed Mia Tian as a permanent Software Engineer. She is an incredible asset to Contented, having worked for us as a student and now with us full time. Mia is incredibly creative as well as being technically brilliant and we couldn’t be happier to have her with us.
The year ahead
As you know we are AI Optimists. Yes there are always negative outcomes with any technology or societal advancement. The key is unlocking the positives for you and your business.
